Man, this week has been a busy one. Last weekend, my family came to visit us from out-of-state. Usually, my parents come alone. However, this time, my sister and her family came with as well. They have two awesome kids. So, we had 3 families and 4 kids under the age of 5 in our house for most of the weekend. Luckily, my sister’s family decided to stay in a hotel, so at least we all weren’t sleeping here. They were certainly welcome, but it probably would have been a little bit cramped.
The visit was a lot of fun, but it was also pretty exhausting. My sister and her husband left for home on Monday morning. I got up super early to bring them out to the airport. We had a great time with everybody and I was sad to see them go. However, it was really nice to have our house back to ourselves Monday night.
Of course, now that we are back on the market shopping for a house, I’ve got a lot of work to do to get our house ready to sell. Ugh. Along with doing a little painting, the next time I have a day off, I need to trim up our trees and bushes. I also need to do some trimming over at one of our rentals. Ah, the beauty of home ownership.
So…since I’m sure you don’t care one lick about my personal life, let’s get on with the post…

You too!
I hope I’d never know if my husband bought $800 shoes! Are they lined with gold? I guess you couldn’t afford those if you spend it on crack. Makes you wonder how that found your site. Have a good weekend.

Buying $800 shoes is completely dumb unless they are made to last your entire lifetime. Even then, I still think it’s silly…..but it is still smarter than buying crack =)
I love reading about people’s personal lives, gives me an idea of who the people are if I haven’t met them yet. Ooo, painting, I bet you can’t wait to do that! hehe. *ughh*
“feel bad spent my money on crack” didn’t know crack addicts feel bad about spending money on crack, or is it that they’re feeling bad that the money is gone and now they’re out of crack? hahaha!

I hate painting but it is so expensive to pay someone to paint! Why shell out thousands of dollars to have someone do something that I can do myself?
Ugh- I still hate painting.
I love having family over and I also love when they leave. It’s the best of both worlds. You get to enjoy them a ton while they are here, and then you get to enjoy just being at home with your immediate family once they leave.
Also, not sure if it really counts, but I did mention you in my note on my “Monday Money Tip” post

Selling a home with small children around is tough! I try really hard to keep my house clean (ask Jeff…I really do!) and it still always has a mess somewhere because kids don’t understand how to put things away when they’re finished. You are brave! Oh, and I told you so! I could tell you had already made up your minds! : ) Good luck guys!!!
Michelle recently posted..Save Money On Eye Care
Thanks Michelle! It IS impossible to keep anything picked up with kids isn’t it? No matter how hard we try, there is a mess immediately after picking up.
It’s fun to have a house full of people and it’s fun when they leave!
