Additionally, the signup bonus is absolutely massive. You’ll earn 80,000 points just for making $5,000 in purchases during the first three months you have the card. That’s worth a whopping $1,000 in travel when you book through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal! In many cases, your points may be worth even more by transferring them to one of Chase’s travel partners (think Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Southwest Airlines, United, and more). Redeeming Chase points for gift cards and cash back is also an option, although you won’t get as much value per point.

The Ink Business Preferred Card continues earning a hefty amount of points even after you’ve secured the signup bonus. You’ll earn three points per dollar on the first $150,000 you spend in select categories – including travel, online advertising, and more. With everything else, you’ll still earn one point per dollar spent.

To top it off, the Ink Business Preferred Card offers no foreign transaction fees and employee cards at no additional cost. There is a $95 annual fee on the card, but the benefits and points you’ll earn far outweigh the cost of the card.

If you’re a business owner who likes to travel, you can’t go wrong with the Chase Ink Business Preferred!

American Express Business Platinum Card

AMEX Platinum Business CardIf you like to travel, the Business Platinum Card from American Express may be a good fit for your business. Some of the card’s top features include:

  • Welcome Offer: Up to 100,000 Amex Membership Rewards points
  • Earn 50,000 Membership Rewards after spending $10,000 in the first three months
  • Earn an extra 50,000 points after spending additional $15,000 in the first three months
  • 5x points when booking flights and prepaid hotels through Amex portal
  • 1.5 points per dollar on purchases of $5,000 or more (up to 1 million points per year)
  • Access to Global Lounge Collection
  • 35% airline bonus when you use points for flights with qualified airlines
  • Up to $200 in statement credits for purchases with Dell
  • WeWork Platinum Global Access (1-year)
  • Learn how to apply

The Business Platinum Card from American Express is currently promoting a massive welcome offer of up to 100,000 Membership Rewards. That is an insane amount of some very valuable points, but there is a catch. The welcome bonus is tiered, so you’ll have to spend a pretty penny to earn the entire thing.

To earn the first 50,000 points of the welcome offer, you’ll need to spend $10,000 on the card in the first three months. Admittedly, that’s quite a bit of spending but not out of reach for many businesses.

The second half of the offer is only available when you spend an additional $15,000 on the card in those same first three months. That’s a ton of spending to earn the full offer and not every business will be able to reach those minimum spending requirements.

Additionally, the Amex Business Platinum Card is a “premium” card. They charge a hefty $595 annual fee, which can be hard to deal with. Although the perks of the card can be valuable, weighing the cost of the annual fee is definitely something you’ll need to consider before signing up.
