The VIP Club Roundup – 13th Edition

The VIP Club Roundup

Hello everybody and welcome back to Club Thrifty’s VIP Club Roundup. Here we strive to bring you some of the best stories of the week from the personal finance blogosphere. We are going to keep this a bit shorter this week as I’m writing this post a little earlier than normal. We will be heading out-of-town, so we haven’t had a chance to include all of the articles we normally would. Also, if you’ve noticed us missing from your comments, we apologize. We’ve got a great guest post from Pauline at Reach Financial Independence scheduled for Monday, so please be sure to check that out. We will be back into the full swing of things on Tuesday. Also, don’t forget to check out our iPad3 giveaway!!! You know you want it!

What is Holly Obsessed With This Week?

Here is a look at what Holly is obsessed with this week:

We LOVE Les Miserables! You know, that famous musical based on Victor Hugo’s classic work of literature. We are cautiously optimistic that the movie being released in a few weeks will live up to the stage show. I know, we are uber nerds.

This week, Holly is obsessively hoping and praying that they don’t ruin it. We know that Samantha Barks is going to rock the role of Eponine. Afterall, she rocked it on the London stage and was even chosen for the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert. However, we’re holding our breath that the other voices will be up to the task. Still, we are excited to see it. Here is a sneak peek below!

We were a little light on time this week, so we don’t have our regular “Top Posts of the Week.” However, thank you so much to everybody for the mentions and all of your support. Head on over to our VIP page and pick up your VIP Club Badge! Also, please feel free to subscribe to our blog or follow us at Twitter, Facebook, and Google+! We’ll see you next week!

Pauline’s guest post for my site was awesome, I can’t wait to see what she writes for yours. Also, I do still plan on winning that ipad so you can stop telling people about the contest…wouldn’t want to waste their time, right?? 😉

Enjoy your weekend you two. With all that you’ve been doing with the blog you deserve time off.
I can’t wait to read Pauline’s post. I love her writing.

We were at Wal-HELL the other day and they had what looked like a 20 year old dressed up as Santa. Seriously?!?!?!? My three year old is not that naive!

They have such a strong looking cast I hope they don’t ruin it either!
Speaking of Musicals, are you all going to go see Book of Mormon when it rolls into town during 2013?

      • Brian says

I wish I knew more, but the IBJ just had an article a couple months back saying Book of Mormon is coming here for the 2013/2014 season. No mention of dates or when tickets go on sale. All I know is, everyone who has seen it says it is brilliant. It’s by the South Park guys and they call it “an atheist’s love letter to religion.” It is also a little bit of a parody of old broadway musicals aswell. I’m pretty hyped to see it!

Holly, I can’t wait for Les Miserable either! By the way, glad to see you’re a staff writer at GRS now It’s hit or miss over there these days, but I always enjoy your posts, probably because you have great writing style and I tend to agree with your opinions! Have a great weekend!

I’m so excited! Im a little worried about Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway….but I think the others will rock it! We shall see!

And thanks so much! I love the GRS community as a whole!

Good question. And once they found themselves here, I wonder if they stayed to read or kept on looking for that taxidermy site. I guess we’ll never know.
